The Institute – An Integrated and Holistic Response to Leadership

Coady The first group of 23 emerging and mid-management female leaders and two veteran leaders will participate in the launch through a first residency, a nine-day onsite program at the Coady Institute, from June 15 to 24, 2012. 

This first group of future leaders will participate in individual leadership self-assessments, develop action plans, and learn about organizational and community-centered leadership. From July 2012 to June 2013, participants will be supported through distance learning, monthly mentoring and coaching, and peer-to-peer learning forums. 

The group will then complete the program at their final five-day residency in June 2013, when the second group will begin.  This overlap in programming will allow for sharing of knowledge between the first and second year participants. The pilot will run for three years and will involve a total of 75 women leaders. 

The program will focus on women-centered leadership and will address personal skills development, organizational and community development, and policy to focus on broader civic engagement and systems change.
