Your Information 

It’s easy to make changes! Fill out our donor inquiry form, or reach us by phone at 1-866-293-4483 ext. 235 or 224 or email at [email protected]. Please include your name, address, and the details of the update you’d like us to make. 

  • If you’ve recently donated online, you can update your payment info directly through our donor portal under the “Navigation” tab. 
  • Otherwise, you can use our donor inquiry form, email [email protected], or call 1-866-293-4483 ext. 235 or 224. Don’t forget to include your full name, phone number, and address to help us assist you quickly!

No, never. Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell or trade personal information and we do not share personal information without permission. We use secure, industry-standard technology to protect your personal and financial information. We follow Canada’s privacy laws and never sell or trade your data. Donations 

You have several options:

If you donated online, check your email (including spam/junk folders).  

  • You can download a copy of your receipt by clicking the “Download receipt” button at the bottom of the thank you email sent immediately after your gift was made. Can’t find the email? Try searching your inbox for Canadian Women’s Foundation (canadianwomen.org).  

For mail donations, receipts are sent based on your preferences and should arrive in 4–6 weeks. 

Need a replacement? Fill out the donor inquiry form, call 1-866-293-4483 ext. 235, or email [email protected]. Be sure to include: 

  • Your full name 
  • Your address 
  • The donation amount 
  • How you made your donation 

Yes! Donations are tax-deductible in Canada. Our Charitable Registration number is: 12985-5607-RR0001. 

Yes, absolutely! If donating online, add the persons name in the “Dedicate this donation” field to make your gift in honor or memory of a loved one.  

Yes! If you’ve added the person’s name into the “dedicate this donation” field, after making your donation online, you will have the option to send a card with a personalized message.  

If you navigate away from the page, you’ll also receive an email titled “Complete your dedication with a personal message.” Use the link to choose and send your e-card. 

Monthly Giving 

By joining the Rosemary Brown Giving Collective, you’re helping us plan long-term and lowering our admin costs. Plus, it connects you to a community of changemakers creating real impact. 

  • If you started your monthly donation online in October 2024 or later, log in to our donor portal and update your preferences under “Recurring Donations.”  
  • If you started your online donation before October 2024, signed up over the phone, or need additional help, please fill out our donor inquiry form, email us at [email protected], or call Tristan Woodford at 1-866-293-4483 ext. 235.
  • If you’ve recently donated online, you can update your payment info directly through our donor portal under the “Navigation” tab. 
  • Otherwise, you can use our donor inquiry form, email [email protected], or call 1-866-293-4483 ext. 235. Don’t forget to include your full name, phone number, and address to help us assist you quickly!  
  • Online donations: Your first donation is processed immediately, then monthly on the same date. 
  • Credit card donations: Your first donation is processed immediately, then monthly on the same date. 
  • Direct debit donations over the phone: Your first gift will be deducted immediately, then on the 15th of each month. 
  • Credit card donations will show up as Cdn Womens Fnd on your statement. Donations through your bank account will show as Canadian Womens Foundation. 

You’ll receive a consolidated receipt every February for all your donations from the previous tax year.

Leaving a gift in your Will 

A gift in your Will is a powerful way to leave a lasting legacy. For details, visit our Your Living Legacy page or contact Laura Owen at [email protected] or 1-866-293-4483 ext. 254. 

  • It allows your values to live on, long beyond your lifetime. 
  • It doesn’t cost you anything now. 
  • After providing for your loved ones, a gift in your Will helps continue to build a better and more gender-equal Canada.  
  • You may be able to make a larger gift than you thought possible. 
  • It can reduce the tax burden on your estate. 

Need help updating your Will? Ask your lawyer about adding a codicil to include the Canadian Women’s Foundation. 

Phone Calls 

If you are a supporter of the Canadian Women’s Foundation and have opted in to receive phone communications from us, you may be contacted by our partner Public Outreach, who is making calls on our behalf to engage with our community of supporters. They would be calling from the following numbers only:

We take your privacy and the security of your personal information very seriously. Please note that at this time the Canadian Women’s Foundation does not currently engage in door-to-door canvassing. If someone comes to your door fundraising for the Canadian Women’s Foundation, it may be fraudulent. We encourage you to report any suspicious activity and to contact us directly at 1.866.293.4483 ext. 235. 

Where Do My Donations Go? 

When you donate, you help ensure every woman, girl, and gender-diverse person has the power, safety, support, and rights to thrive. Your gift supports programs in the areas of greatest need. 

You support programs that help women, girls, and gender-diverse people in every province and territory:  

  • Move out of violence by accessing safe housing, sexual violence support, counselling and legal support. 
  • Move out of poverty by building employment skills, having mentorship opportunities, and break into well-paying fields where women are traditionally underrepresented. 
  • Move into confidence by providing young people with STEM education, media literacy, mentorship and other tools to develop their resiliency.
