Joanna has been a dynamic, outspoken feminist for many years. Her leadership skills and passion for gender equality have been developed throughout her career. In 2008, Joanna became a member of the Fredericton Sexual Assault Centre (FSAC). In addition to responding to calls on FSAC’s 24-hour support line, Joanna quickly became a valued leader in the organization. Recently, Joanna has pivoted her career by using her background in graphic design and communication to work in the not-for profit sector and currently works with Live Well | Bien Vivre, a community health initiative that works with individuals to meet their wellness goals and prevent and manage chronic conditions. This career shift has enabled Joanna to use and share her expertise while nurturing her passion and commitment for healthy, safe, and equitable communities.
