Jodie Bakker is a Prosecution Business Strategist within the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS). Jodie enjoys criminological research and her duties include drafting research reports, attending committee meetings, writing Action Requests, and developing departmental policy. She sits on committees related to sexual assault, mental health, FASD, and addictions. Throughout her career in justice, she has worked on many initiatives aimed at reducing violence against women. Jodie has a degree in Criminology and a Masters in Public Policy.  She is also a member of the Institute of Public Administration Canada (IPAC), which holds interesting public policy-related events throughout the year. Jodie is a foodie who volunteers with Taste of Edmonton in addition to taking several cooking classes for her own enjoyment. She is an avid traveller who has visited places such as Germany, France, Netherlands, Israel, Turkey, Thailand, El Salvador, Cuba and Costa Rica. In Edmonton, she loves biking around town and going to the theatre and artistic/musical events. Her personal mantra is: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
