Khadija Said has a Masters in Finance from France. After three years as a financial advisor and financial analyst in a French institution, she is currently a government professional for the Government of Quebec. Her interest in governance, public interest and the women’s movement has led her to take action rather than observe. Ms. Said currently holds a seat on the board of the Quebec Order of Agrologists and on the St-Louis District Council. She previously held a seat on the board of the Caisse Desjardins Des Rivières de Québec for two years. In 2014 she also participated, among other things, in Senator Eric Forest’s L’Effet A movement political challenge to develop measures that encourage the participation of young women in politics. She also took part in a number of workshops given by Groupe Femmes Politique Démocratie, including simulActions, a workshop designed to provide women with the tools they need to run for municipal council and mayoral positions. Over the following three years, from 2017 to 2020, she will have been working with YMCA QC to develop a national platform on issues affecting women, particularly the presence of women in decision-making bodies and on boards of directors.
