Laura Romano is a Superintendent of Student Achievement with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Her responsibilities include the supervision of schools and the leadership development strategy for the school board. Laura has served the school board as a teacher, consultant, principal, system principal, and is entering her fifth year as a Superintendent. Her skills include curriculum design, special education, differentiated instruction with an elementary focus and leadership development. Her post-secondary experiences include McMaster University, and Institute for Child Studies with the University of Toronto. She completed graduate studies at McMaster, earning her Masters of Arts in Teaching. She is passionate about the work she does to support learning for the youth of Hamilton and is the very proud mom of two children.
