Libby Carew launched Libby Carew Communications & Public Relations in 2011 after more than 15 years working in the public and private sector. She has developed and executed relations campaigns for non-profits, start-ups, large companies and government agencies. She is a professional moderator and facilitator and works with organizations to develop engaged and informative discussions on complex subject matters. In November 2016, Libby planned and facilitated five public forums across Newfoundland and Labrador for NLOWE to generate ideas to increase the number of women entrepreneurs and senior leaders in the province. Following the forums, she was the lead researcher and author for the NLOWE Women’s Economic Action Plan which launched in May 2017. She is a member of the Women in Technology Peer group in St. John’s and an advisor to several start-ups based out of Memorial University’s technology incubator, the Genesis Centre. She is an active mentor to female entrepreneurs and is passionate about issues related to women’s economic development. She holds a BA and BEd from Memorial University. She completed coursework in Public Relations at Ryerson University and the Université de Pau in France. She is bilingual in English and French.
