Ms. Lise Gervais is the Development and Liaison Coordinator at Relais-Femmes, where she has worked for more than 15 years. She is also a member of the joint committee for the Protocole UQAM/Relais-femmes. Ms. Gervais has contributed to the publication of a number of articles on feminist issues and has delivered various conferences and workshops on partnership research and knowledge transfer. She is also a member of several research committees on issues affecting women. One example is the steering committee of Trajetvi, a 7-year partnership project on violence with Université de Montréal that was made possible through funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. In 2018, Lise Gervais received the Maria Barile Award for her contribution to the equality of women living with disabilities and the Recognition Award from the Faculty of Human Sciences at UQAM for her contribution to the development of community action in Quebec. Ms. Gervais’s expertise in knowledge transfer, networking and mediation between women’s groups and academics will be essential to the local project. She will also sit on the project’s advisory committee to help identify promising formal collaboration practices to be developed and implemented between academics, institutions and women’s groups.
