Mary Lobson is the Founding Director of EVA Manitoba (Ending Violence Across Manitoba Inc.) whose mission is to promote the collaboration and coordination of programs, organizations and government that work to end domestic violence and sexual violence in Manitoba. In 1996, Mary founded The Winnipeg Children’s Access Agency Inc. (WCAA), a not-for-profit charitable organization that provides supervised access services for families experiencing domestic violence. Through her development of WCAA, and over the years, she has developed positive working relationships with both government and community. Mary has been active in the domestic violence sector and has been involved in many community activities and initiatives though membership in the Family Violence Consortium of Manitoba, the Interpersonal Violence and Technology Network, the Domestic Violence and Family Law Network, and RESOLVE (Research and Education for Solutions to Violence and Abuse). Since 2009, Mary has participated in the Training of Trainers through the Safety Net Project, a project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) in Washington DC., and has been a trainer with the province of Manitoba on the intersection of technology and domestic violence. She is an advocate for increased collaboration, coordination and innovation.
