I have worked for more than 25 years as a social justice advocate supporting women on their journey out of poverty. I am passionate about ending poverty, family violence and advancing women’s equality. I believe that effective change can happen when we work collectively to build an inclusive, equitable society; address systemic barriers; and support one another in this challenging work. I have volunteered with a variety of organizations, including Hestia House shelter for women; the SJ Legal Centre; Coverdale Centre for Women; New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women; New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation; the National Action Committee on Housing for Women and served for three terms as a municipal Councillor for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield. My partner Linda and I love to travel, live active full lives and enjoy spending time in our home overlooking the beautiful Saint John river.
