Shelley is the President of Purple Dog Consulting and has been working in the area of physical activity/sport and health promotion/prevention, communications/marketing, event coordination and program development/management for over 20 years, working with numerous not for profit and government organizations. The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) has been a client of Shelley’s since 2002 and over that time Shelley has been the contracted Project Manager for several projects including: Physical Activity and Sport for Women 55-70+; Mothers in Motion; and Newcomer Girls and Women. In addition to these previous roles through CAAWS, Shelley is currently the Project Manager for the Advancing Gender Equality for Women in Sport project funded through Status of Women Canada. Shelley has a Master of Arts degree in Leisure Studies from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Social Science degree, Honours in Leisure Studies, Concentration in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Shelley lives in Ottawa with her husband Craig, two dogs (Steve and Hank) and two cats (Olive and Dublin).
