Anita Hill

“We must raise our voices just as we did 25 years ago to say enough is enough.”
– Anita Hill

In 1991, Anita Hill sparked a cultural shift on sexual harassment when she testified against Clarence Thomas, in front of a national television audience, at his Supreme Court confirmation hearing.

Today, Ms. Hill, an American law professor, activist, and author, continues her trailblazing efforts by fighting for institutional change. In December of 2017, she was selected to lead the Hollywood Commission on Sexual Harassment and Advancing Equality in the Workplace, which was created to address widespread sexual abuse and harassment in the media and entertainment industries.

Ms. Hill is the Professor of Social Policy, Law and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She continues to write and speak about issues of race and gender, including lessons learned and progress won since her testimony.
