About Kalila George-Wilson, Cassandra Smith and Jennifer Hamman

Kalila George-Wilson: This is Kalila’s first year as a girls group leader, but she has been involved as a leader in the community in many capacities. Kalila is on the language team at Tsleil-Waututh Nation, working to learn and teach the traditional language. Cassandra Smith: This is Cassandra’s first year as a girls group leader, but knows the girls well from her work with the youth recreation programs on the nation. She is a member of the language team at the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and a member of the Children of Takaya, TWN’s traditional dance group. Jennifer Hamman: Jennifer is the Community Counsellor/ Expressive Arts Therapist on the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. She has been involved with girls group for 3 years and currently coordinates the program.
