  • What does it mean to “Join the Tireless”?

    The road to gender equality has been long, but every step forward comes from the tireless efforts of supporters like you. When we empower women and girls to move out of poverty and violence, and move into confidence and leadership, the future is better for all of us. When you join the Tireless, you are part of the movement for gender equality in Canada.

    The Canadian Women’s Foundation is a national leader in the movement for gender equality in Canada. Through funding, research, advocacy, and knowledge sharing, the Foundation works to achieve systemic change that includes all women. Launched in 1991 to address a critical need for philanthropy focused on women, it is one of the largest women’s foundations in the world. With the support of donors, the Foundation has raised more than $100 million and funded over 1,950 programs across the country. These programs focus on addressing the root causes of the most critical issues and helping women and girls who face the greatest barriers.

    The Canadian Women’s Foundation aims to be inclusive of diverse people across gender and sexuality spectrums. We focus our efforts on supporting those who face the most barriers and have least access to relevant services. This includes people who identify as women, girls, trans, Two-Spirit, genderqueer, non-binary, and 2SLGBTQI+.

    Your event specifics are up to you! We are here to help you reach your goals – you set your timeframe.
  • Where do my donations go?

  • Where can I host my online fundraiser?

    We are excited and inspired by all the creative ways that supporters have hosted online fundraisers during the COVID-19 pandemic You can host you’re an online fundraiser on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, or using video conferencing sites like Zoom. Consider hosting an online yoga class, a musical performance, a trivia night or viewing party with your friends. You can engage your network of supporters to raise funds for diverse women and girls! Just link to your fundraising page!

  • What if I don’t reach my fundraising goal?
    We recognize that these are uncertain times for everyone. Every gift will help and every dollar counts. We are so grateful for your support at this critical time. We want to help you create your fundraising plan and work towards your goal! We look forward to celebrating any success you have and thanking your supporters!
  • Will I be reimbursed for my expenses?

    We are thrilled to support your upcoming event, however, please keep in mind that we will be unable to offer support in the following ways:

    • Reimbursement for expenses related to your event
    • Administrative support
    • Applications for licenses and permits
    • Insurance coverage for your event
    • Contact information of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, or partners for third-party use
    • Assistance with securing sponsorship or ticket sales
    • Access to media
  • Is it safe to donate online?
    Our donation forms are secure pages and protect payments with the highest PCI-compliance including Transport Layer Security that encrypt the data when transmitted. You can tell that the donation form is secure when it has a lock icon on the top right-hand corner of the form by the address bar. If you click on the lock icon you will see a message confirming that the page is secure and will display more information on the security certificate.
