Host your own fundraiser

Support women, girls and gender-diverse people in Canada by hosting a fundraiser in your community.

There are so many creative ways, virtually and in-person, to rally friends, family and colleagues around gender equality. No fundraiser is too big or too small. Every dollar you raise will make a difference!

Here are some ideas to help inspire you:

  • Celebrate a Special Occasion: Ask friends and family to donate in lieu of giving you gifts for your birthday, graduation or anniversary.
  • Host a Book Club or Game Night: Gather for a fun activity and make a collective donation every time you meet.
  • Create a Fitness Challenge: Walk 10,000 steps every day, cycling, running, or hiking, and ask for pledges along the way.

Below are some recent fundraisers held in support of the Canadian Women’s Foundation:

The Collective: Women’s Empowerment Summit is a dynamic platform that unites women from diverse backgrounds to share, connect, and empower each other towards personal and professional growth.

Her Voice Returns is a series of storytelling events focused on sharing the experiences of women. Co-produced by Susan Ida Boucaud and Carol Ribner, and in partnership with Artists Standing Strong Together, proceeds from the events support the work of the Foundation.

Robyn Hunthouse started the annual “The Next Day” fundraiser on March 9 in support of the Foundation, rallying others to build on International Women’s Day momentum and to continue taking action for gender equality beyond this day.
