Today, the government will unveil Canada’s federal budget, coming two years from the last.
Building on long-standing calls for investments in women’s equality and underlined by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canadian Women’s Foundation adds its voice to calls for:
1. Investment in women’s safety
2. Targeting women’s economic equality as key to recovery
3. Recognition of and investment in childcare and long-term care
4. Support for the expanding role of diverse women’s leadership in Canada’s prosperity
