This program will provide education and mutual aid relief to Black, Racialized and Indigenous trans and cis women and girls, femmes, and gender nonconforming folks experiencing and leaving heterosexist domestic, community and state violence. The project will host a drop-in education program to discuss topics gender-based violence, economic security, safety planning, women and girls’ empowerment, queer, trans and non binary empowerment, mental health and self care, knowledge of self and effective communication, and employment training. Personalized support for young women leaving situations of violence will also be provided.
